The family and many friends of Jim Vassar wish to remember his legacy by organizing an event in the game he loved: golf.

Golf was Jim's first experience with a non-contact sport and it took a while for him to adjust to the collegiality and gentlemanly nature of the game. As always, he prevailed and grew to enjoy the pursuit of par.

So, what better way to recall his good nature, sportsmanship, and love of the outdoors than to tee it up over some cold brews in his memory – and raise money for some great causes – than to host a memorial golf tournament?

The Jim Vassar Memorial Golf Tournament committee thanks you for supporting this annual event since its inception in 2012. The charities we support were dear to Jim and thanks to your support, the JVMGT has raised $155,100 for the American Brain Tumor Association of America, Toledo Rotary Foundation, and ProMedica Rehab Fund.

Proceeds from the Jim Vassar Memorial Golf Tournament go to the American Brain Tumor Association, Toledo Rotary Foundation, and ProMedica Rebab Fund. That's a lot of goodness for a day of golf.
